CBS Outdoor didn’t have a permit to put up a west-facing digital billboard near 32nd Street and Loop 101. About a week ago, they decided it no longer mattered.
The billboard company debuted its new digital billboard, which now shines its bright lights onto surrounding Phoenix neighborhoods.
“The Arizona Court of Appeals had ruled in November that there can’t be any digital boards on state freeways, and here we have CBS Outdoor putting up a digital board on a state freeway” said Jim Mapstead, “They are making our neighborhoods look like Times Square.”
CBS Outdoor is in blatant violation of Phoenix permit law, but this could just be the beginning. Join Save Phoenix Views as we protect Phoenix’s neighborhoods and scenic freeways from these digital billboards.
