Phx Mayor appointed to EPA's Local Government Advisory

Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon was appointed as a member of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Local Government Advisory Committee to represent mayors across the nation by Administrator Lisa P. Jackson of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. This is a two-year term commitment beginning August 30, 2010 .

“I’m honored and privileged by this federal appointment and I’m looking forward to sharing my advice and perspectives with the Administrator and committee members” said Gordon.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Local Government Advisory Committee provides advice and recommendations to the Administrator, assists in developing a stronger partnership with local governments and helps build state and local capacity to deliver environmental services and programs.
