In June the FUSION Foundation, collaborated with ALAC (Arizona Latino Arts & Cultural Center), the ADL (Anti-Defamation League), the Arizona Hispanic Forum to bring forth "SB 1070 An Artist's Point of View." The traveling educational art exhibit opened July 24th to a standing room only crowd in the heart of downtown Phoenix at ALAC with supporting sponsorship from the ADL, Arizona Hispanic Forum, ALAC (Arizona Latino Arts & Cultural Center), Community Public Relations, Despins Printing & Graphics | Splash Media, Law Offices of Francisco Gutierrez, Mouth to Mouth Media, and 'N Touch Magazine.
We are pleased to announce a portion of the exhibit is available for viewing here.
Art speaks volumes about what a culture believes about the nature of being human, the role of government, and the temporal world - "SB 1070 An Artist's Point of View" speaks volumes about community collaboration and the world of possibilities when we don't give up!
"SB 1070 An Artist's Point of View" was conceived by The FUSION Foundation and brought to fruition because of our incredible creative community! The wall, the Arizona flag, stop signs, The Constitution, a Native American, death, skeletons, labor, border lovers, fields, The Dream Act, the Virgin of Guadalupe are but a few of the images used by artists for the thought-provoking traveling exhibit.
We hope you will make the time to support this important educational endeavor, your financial support is greatly appreciated as well.
