Phoenix -- The Southwest Center for HIV/AIDS, formerly Body Positive, will offer free confidential HIV and syphilis testing every Friday from 4-8 p.m. at Off Chute Too, an alternative boutique located in Phoenix.   

The new location will provide testing for those who cannot make it to Southwest Center or other facilities, during the day says Marge Samson, the Women and Family Services Manager and Testing Supervisor.

“This gives the public the opportunity to get tested during non-traditional hours, in a non-traditional and non-threatening environment.”

Samson says the Uni-Gold Rapid Test will be utilized for HIV testing at the boutique, allowing results in ten minutes. “The fast results in a setting like this, is a perfect combination,” exclaimed Samson.

Off Chute Too owner, Patrick Kelley, agrees. “In this day and age everyone should get tested, and if we can offer a place where someone might feel more comfortable coming in then we are more than happy to donate the space,” says Off Chute Too owner, Patrick Kelley.
