"Ready has long held ties with neo-Nazi groups, most recently the National Socialist Movement (NSM), a group ADL calls one of the largest of its kind in America. The NSM clings to an ideology that only non-Jewish, white heterosexuals should be American citizens and that everyone who isn't white should leave the country "peacefully or by force." "
This is from a press release by the ADL about the people that have set up patrols on our border. They have passion about their cause, and it happens to be VERY MUCH against the LGBT community, not just the "illegal immigrants" and Jewish communities.

These people are against every minority group that exists, and it is time for the LGBT community and others to get off their collective butts and do something about it.

Call it activism, or just outright anger. These groups should not be allowed to stand at any border with their weapons and hatred. If you think they would not exact their hatred on you, think again.

Whether I call it "lighting one candle" by speaking up when I am moved to protest a joke or slur made against a particular group, or I call it "activism" by participating in a rally and carrying a sign, or call it "being a good citizen" by voting my conscience, it all boils down to doing what I (a fallible, bleeding-heart liberal, progressive Democrat, conscience-searching, truth-seeking human being) believe is the right thing, even when it is uncomfortable, and sometimes downright dangerous. But my beliefs do not require me (nor do I want to!) to engage in name-calling or spouting vitriolic accusations against those who disagree with me. Even though it may gall me, or I may be mystified by the beliefs held by others, I do honor the fact that we live in a country that protects our right to speak up, speak out, and to demonstrate. Not every "activist" represents me. But I am grateful for those who are willing to put their convictions into action... whether in the public square or in the voting booth.

I see the point being made here, but I still get annoyed at people saying they represent me, just because they are the one's that are on the side of the road holding the sign. I use my vote, my donations, and my time to support the specific groups and elected officials that most closely represent what I feel.
I might not be the person you recognize, but it could not be done without me either. I do not believe that I have to go out and get arrested to make my point. I always feel like the "loud mouths" are accusing me because I do not do it their way.
